Arte al Sole helps families and groups explore the magic of Venice in an amazing immersive experience where children gain an in-depth understanding of the Venetians and their islands. Through hands-on activities featuring the city’s mysteries, symbols, art and artisans, the whole family will enjoy an international cultural experience. Child-only workshops allow parents to visit museums, cafès and cultural sites or simply enjoy a leisurely lunch on the Grand Canal, while we wow the kids!
We offer custom-designed programs for families or groups from 1-5 days.
Sample Arte al Sole Program:
Day 1: AM: Alleyways Adventures searching out

"Animals, mysteries & magic" and

exploring Venetian Alchemy as revealed through enchanting tales & legends around the campi piazzas and over the bridges of Venice • PM: papier-maché & mask-making workshops.

Day 2:AM: Island Adventure – Trip to the famed Murano island to learn about the art of glassmaking • PM: Creation of a jewel with glass pearls in workshop (Parents welcome to Murano!).
Day 3:AM: City adventure "The Devil & Acqua Santa” — kids will discover the duality of Venice, considering which attributes distinguish the Saints from the most famous Italian theatrical characters. • PM: Complete creation of papier-maché masks.

Day 4:AM: City adventure “The enigma of the secret code” learning how letters are not only visual signs but, in Venice, often hold hidden meaning. • PM: Cooking class making buraneo, typical Venetian cookies.
Day 5: Show & Celebration • Rehearsal & performance of show with masks and jewels made by the children. *******************
Program Location
Our Venice program meets daily at different cultural locations throughout the city, depending on the activity.
Venice is easily reachable by train or plane, with Marco Polo airport nearby.
Lodging
The preferred and easiest location for families is to stay in the historical center of Venice in either a holiday apartment or family-friendly hotel. Or else at the Venice Lido.
