Bess loves showing off the Eternal City in all its magnificence. After receiving her B.S. in Sociology from Loyola University of Chicago’s Campus in Rome, she never left! She dove straight into teaching English at Rome’s public kindergartens and elementary schools, still working with kids 20 years on. As a mother raising bilinqual children, she knows how challenging languages can be for kids, and makes learning fun thru hands-on experiences and art projects, museum trips, sports activities – anything to get kids engaged and talking!
Having also spent 10 years in the int’l dept of a major utilities company, Bess was responsible for organizing diplomatic visits to events, VIP Tours & travel. In 2019, Bess is providing support to Arte al Sole families, answering queries and organizing reservations for private tours and summer camps for families coming in from round the world.
Hanna is a Finnish graphic designer and illustrator based just outside Rome who, inspired on a daily basis by the nine muses of the arts, founded her own graphic design company,
Hame Design in 2011. With her simple and practical creations, she strives to bring art, beauty and functionality to Arte al Sole
. She holds a M.Sc in Economics (Aalto University), later specializing in Communications & Marketing from Pubblitalia ’80, Milano. Hanna works as Art Director for publishing firm, L’Iguana editrice, and, we were pleased to be gifted by Hanna’s whimsical creativity for a book teaching kids about
Bullying (in English & Italian), Josh & the Magic Hat(Giacomo e il Cilindro Magico)
, written by my sister, Michele Tucci. Like Cosimo de’Medici, Hanna holds to a personal motto:
Enthusiasm moves the world – teaching by example to her two sons and husband that with passion and joy, we can truly move mountains.
