Arte al Solefamilies attending one of our three exclusive Italian Art & Culture Day Campsin Florence will be treated to one of the most magnificent fireworks and festivals in Italy! Each June 24th, people dress up in Medieval garb, parade through the streets with flags bearing the symbol of Florence, the Giglio or Lily, to honor their beloved Patron Saint, San Giovanni or St John. At night, a spectacular fireworks display lights up the sky.
Arte al Solekids will learn about Medieval and Renaissance life in Florence, the people, places, and piazzas that made it great – and this occasion really brings it home. Taking place at our exclusive palace locale, Palazzo San Niccolò, there is something for everyone. Our programs explore Italy’s rich past through city sightseeing, creative projects and even a cooking course!
